With the collaboration of Sri Lanka Mobitel and Dialog, the website provides a breaking news alert service via SMS. Meanwhile, the website features political and current affairs, world business, sports, cultural and travel content, provincial-level news and cabinet decisions. It primarily aims to provide information relating to the activities of the government.
