Rajamahendran Family

The Rajamahendran family are the owners of The Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited and its subsidiaries. Rajandram Rajamahendran is the son of Sinnathamby Rajandram, one of the founders of The Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited. Although R. Rajamahendran directly owns only a small number of shares in The Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited, he and his son Sashidharan Rajamahendran retain ownership of the company primarily through Capital Holdings (Pvt) Limited. R. Rajamahendran owns 79.95 percent of direct shares and Sashidharan Rajamahendran owns 20.05 percent of direct shares in Capital Holdings (Pvt) Limited. Capital Holdings (Pvt) Limited has 1.10 percent of direct shares in The Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited. However, Capital Holdings (Pvt) Limited also holds shares in the other companies that hold majority shares in The Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited such as S-Lon Industrial Plastics (Pvt) Limited, S-Lon Lanka, Harrisons (Colombo) (Pvt) Limited, ICL Marketing (Pvt) Limited and A.F. Jones Exporters Ceylon Limited.

Sashidharan Rajamahendran, who partly owns shares in several companies of the organisation, including Capital Holdings (Pvt) Limited, serves as the Managing Director of The Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited. Several other members of the family also serve in various capacities in the organisation. Rajandram Rajamahendran's wife currently serves as the CEO of Rumors salon, a company under the organisation. Meanwhile, Rajamahendran's daughter, Anjali Rajamahendran, is a Group Director in the organisation. Pradeep Maharaja, the son of Rajandram Maharaja and Padma Maharaja, is also a Group Director in the organisation.
