Navaratnasamy Family

The Navaratnasamy family own Smart Network (Pvt) Limited, the parent company of Lankasri. Both Mayooran Navaratnasamy and Arumugam Navaratnasamy own 50 percent of shares at Smart Network (Pvt) Limited. However, as of 18 September, 2018 Mayooran and his father, Arumugam Navaratnasamy, no longer holds the post of Director at Smart Network (Pvt) Limited. Mayooran Navaratnasamy, also referred to as Sanjay, has served as the CEO of Lankasri from 2003. Mayooran owns 50 percent of Lankasri, while his father Arumugam Navaratnasamy owns the remaining 50 percent of Lankasri in Sri Lanka through Smart Network (Pvt) Limited. In addition to being the owner and CEO of Lankasri, Mayooran Navaratnasamy is listed as the Director of Mangotree Tech Limited, Sigithi Limited, and Aritmat Network Limited according to the Companies House of the United Kingdom. Mayooran Navaratnasamy is married to Nadeesha Sewwandi Navaratnasamy. According to the Companies House of the United Kingdom, on 27 March, 2018, Nadeesha ceased to be the sole shareholder of Lankasri Limited, which is registered in the United Kingdom. As of 27 March, 2018 London Tamil Media Limited is the sole shareholder of Lankasri Limited (the UK entity). The Companies House of the United Kingdom provides that Patrick David Niraj of Sri Lankan nationality holds significant control of shares and is the sole director of London Tamil Media Limited.
